Install in ChatGPT

Before you start

• An Centic account — the free demo account works.
• A ChatGPT account on a plan that supports custom Apps.

Turn on Developer mode

1. In ChatGPT, open Settings.
2. Go to Apps → Advanced Settings.
3. Toggle Developer mode to On.

Create the Centic App

1. Go back to Apps and click Create App.
2. In the popup, enter the following:
   • Name: Centic
   • MCP Server URL: https://centic.ai/api/mcp
   • Authentication: OAuth
3. Toggle I understand and want to continue, then hit Create.
4. You will be redirected to the Centic authorization screen. Click Allow Access. The app is now installed.

Add Centic to a conversation

Start a new ChatGPT conversation and click + → More → Centic to allow ChatGPT to use Centic in the conversation.

Adding Centic to a conversation is required for every new conversation.

If something goes wrong

The authorization tab didn't open.

Check that your browser allowed the popup, or try the connect step again.

You see “no restaurants found”.

Sign in to Centic in your browser first, make sure you have at least one restaurant assigned, then retry.

ChatGPT says the connection expired.

Remove and re-add the App — you'll go through the Authorize step again.
